Tobias Flecht has worked in the field of thermal engineering since 2011. Tobias began their career as a student assistant at FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences, and then worked as a physics lecturer at Operationstechnische Assistenten-Schule Aachen e.V. In 2014, they became an intern and completed their bachelor's thesis at DLR. In 2016, they wrote their master's thesis at the Observatoire de Paris, titled "Thermal modelling of the PICSAT nanosatellite platform and synergetic prestudies of the CIRCUS nanosatellite". From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Thermal Engineer in the German Trainee Program at the European Space Agency - ESA. Tobias then moved to Planetary Transportation Systems GmbH, where they worked as a Thermal Engineer from 2018 to 2020. Currently, they are employed as a Thermal Engineer at Lunar Outpost.
Tobias Flecht received a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik from Aachen University of Applied Sciences - FH Aachen in 2011-2014. Tobias then studied Space Science and Technology at The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg from 2014-2015. Tobias Flecht earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Space Science and Technology from both Luleå University of Technology and Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III in 2015-2016.
