Matteo Genna

Matteo Genna currently serves as Chief Product Officer at Lunasonde since March 2025 and operates as a fractional Chief Product Officer, Chief Technology Officer, and Board Advisor for startups in need of strategic guidance and technological leadership. Prior to these roles, Matteo held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Fleet Space Technologies from May 2023 to February 2025, and served as President of the Remote Sensing Business Unit at World View Enterprises between July 2018 and May 2023, where responsibilities also included serving as Senior Vice President of Engineering and Manufacturing and CTO. Matteo's extensive experience includes a long tenure at SSL from June 1996 to July 2018, where roles ranged from Chief Technology Officer to Director of Spacecraft Engineering. Matteo holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in Physics from UC San Diego.
