Carolina Samuelsson

Carolina Samuelsson serves as the CEO and Hospital Director of Halland Hospital, overseeing the public somatic specialist care in Region Halland since September 2019. In addition to this role, Carolina has been a board member at the Swedish Institute for Health Economics since May 2021 and an associated researcher at Lund University since September 2014. Previous experience includes strategic consulting for digital transformation at Skåne University Hospital and leadership roles in anaesthesia and intensive care. Carolina's career began with significant contributions to the establishment of the Biology Department at United World College Mahindra College in India. Carolina holds a PhD from Uppsala University and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the same institution, along with an Executive Education degree from the Stockholm School of Economics.
