Fredrik Åström

Fredrik Åström is a Docent at Lund University since April 2013 and a Bibliometrics Specialist at Lund University Libraries since July 2006, focusing on scientometric analyses, bibliometrics, research evaluation, and scholarly communication processes. Åström has contributed to academic research as a post-doctoral research fellow, examining informetric methods for mapping research fields and their links to scholarly communication theories. Additionally, Åström served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Technology Sydney from July 2008 to June 2009 and held a position as a visiting scholar at Umeå University from July 1997 to September 2006. The educational background includes a PhD in Library and Information Science from Umeå University, completed between 1991 and 2006.
