Leif Bjermer

Leif Bjermer serves as a Senior Medical Advisor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) / KLINFORSK since January 2020, focusing on clinical trials. Bjermer holds the position of Senior Professor and Senior Physician at the Dept of Respiratory Medicine & Allergology at Lund University since May 2002, specializing in asthma, allergy, and COPD while also leading clinical research. Previously, Bjermer was the Head of the Dept of Respiratory Medicine at University Hospital Trondheim and the Dept of Lung Medicine at St Olavs University Hospital from May 1992 to May 2002, with a primary research focus on asthma development in elite athletes and asthma epidemiology. Bjermer earned MD and PhD degrees from Umeå University and Lund University.
