Baris Derik

Baris Derik is a Cyber Security Analyst with significant experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) environments, currently working at CyberNow Labs since July 2022, specializing in real-time log monitoring and the technical enforcement of security policies using SIEM tools. Derik is actively participating in a Cyber Security Analyst Immersion Program at CS VISOR, acquiring certifications in Security+, Network+, and ISO 27001, along with practical skills in incident response and cyber defense. A dedicated learner and volunteer, Derik engages in continuous self-development and training in information and network security since August 2016. Previously, Derik worked for the Turkish General Directorate of Security for nearly two decades, focusing on investigations related to organized crimes, smuggling, and cyber crimes. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Sakarya University and extensive training in security science.
