Michael Zakhem

Michael Zakhem is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in higher education and technology leadership at Michigan State University since December 2006. As the Assistant Director of Audio-Visual and Learning Spaces, Michael has successfully restructured the department to expand learning spaces from 380 to over 950, while establishing a sustainable financial model. Previous roles include Interim Director of Educational Technology, overseeing a $12 million budget, and Chief of Staff to the CTO, where Michael managed operational activities and stakeholder communication. Michael's expertise also encompasses program leadership, governance initiatives, and departmental management across various IT functions. With a robust educational background, including a Master's in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Michael has a proven track record of aligning technology strategy with academic goals and fostering collaborative environments.
