Dr. Moghanaki leads several national lung cancer initiatives in the VA, including the VA Partnership to Increase Access to Lung Screening (VA-PALS) and the phase III VA Lung Cancer Surgery or Stereotactic Radiotherapy (VALOR) randomized clinical trial. He has been a member, advisor, and chair of multiple committees for national organizations and advocacy groups, including the American Cancer Society, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Radiation Oncology, Radiosurgery Society, Veterans Health Adminisration, LUNGevity Foundation, GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer, and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer.
