Hoang Nguyen

Assistant Vice President, Research at Lupus Research Alliance

Hoang Nguyen has a diverse work experience in the scientific field. Hoang began their career as a Graduate Student Researcher at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 1996. After completing their research role there in 2002, they moved on to Rockefeller University, where they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow until 2008. In 2008, they joined Baylor College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor and later became an Associate Professor in 2019. Recently, in 2021, they transitioned to Lupus Research Alliance, holding the position of Senior Scientific Manager before being promoted to Director of Scientific Partnerships in 2023.

Hoang Nguyen completed a Bachelor of Arts - BA degree in Biology & French Literature from Cornell University in 1992. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from the Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University. The Ph.D. program started in 1995 and ended in 2002.
