Joaquim Carreira

Joaquim Carreira's work experience includes serving as President/CEO and COO at Lusa since June 2021 and December 2016, respectively. Prior to that, they held various finance and management positions at companies such as Eurest Portugal, Compass Group PLC, Impresa Publishing, Abril Controljornal Editora, Roche, Boehringer Mannheim, and Orey Antunes Transportes e Navegação. Their roles included Finance Information Systems, Purchasing and Human Resources Director, Finance and Information Systems Director, Shared Services General Director, Finance Director of Office Share, Finance Director, Finance Director and member of the management team, Divisional Controller, Financial Controller, Assistant Marketing Director, and Junior Accountant.

Joaquim Carreira has a comprehensive education history. Joaquim began by earning a Licentiate degree in Economics from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in 1983. In the same year, they also obtained a certification called "First Certificate" from the University of Cambridge.

In 1985, Joaquim Carreira continued their education at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and obtained another Licentiate degree, this time in Management.

After a brief break from formal education, Joaquim Carreira pursued a Post Graduation Course in Financial Analysis at the ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management from 1990 to 1991.

Lastly, in 2015, they obtained a Master's Degree in Strategic Marketing from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
