Ruth Andrade has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as the Earth Care Strategy Lead at LUSH | UK & Europe. From 2012 to 2014, Ruth worked as a Consultant and Trainer for Regenerative Networks as a self-employed professional. Ruth focused on rethinking social, environmental, and economic systems and activating networks towards a life-sustaining culture using various participatory technologies.

Earlier in their career, Ruth held various positions at Lush Limited from 2004 to 2012, including the role of Environmental Development Manager. Ruth also worked at Lush Brasil as Operations Support in 2006.

Before entering the sustainability field, Ruth worked as a Translator, Interpreter, and Teacher at Contact Languages from 1995 to 2003.

Ruth Andrade completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Architecture with a specialization in Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies at the Centre for Alternative Technology from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they pursued an incomplete BSc degree in Physics from 1995 to 1997 at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas. In addition to their formal education, Ruth also obtained certifications in Sociocracy Leadership Training from Sociocracy For All in 2016 and Holacracy Practitioner from HolacracyOne, LLC in 2014.
