João Rui Duarte

João Rui Duarte, MSc, PMP, is an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in the aviation industry, currently managing projects at LusoSpace since June 2023. Prior to this role, João Rui held multiple positions at OGMA-Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal, S.A., including Project Manager, Project Leader Engineer, and Design Engineer (trainee), where responsibilities encompassed managing civil and military aircraft projects, stakeholder relationships, risk management, and process improvements using Lean methodologies. Previous experience also includes roles in business development and operations at URBANOS, alongside a comprehensive educational foundation in Mechanical Engineering from Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa.
