Kathryn McLellan

Qualitative Researcher at Luth Research

Kathryn McLellan has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Kathryn started their career as a Library Assistant at Sherman Art Library, where they assisted patrons with reference requests and later took on managerial responsibilities. Kathryn then worked as a T.A. at Macalester College, providing one-on-one support to students for their writing assignments.

Moving on, McLellan served as a Research Assistant at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, where they provided laboratory support for a longitudinal study and offered feedback on the testing structure from an anthropological and psychological perspective. Kathryn also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Chicago, collaborating with Nobel-prize-winning economist James Heckman on research and editing tasks.

Continuing their research career, McLellan joined Rabin Research Company as a Project Supervisor, where they provided support for custom market research projects and worked with clients such as Agilent, LEGO, and Gorton's. Kathryn then worked at Smart Revenue as an Ethnographer, conducting consumer ethnographies and creating research materials for clients like GlaxoSmithKline and Wal-Mart.

Kathryn McLellan began their education at Macalester College from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Women and Gender Studies. Kathryn then attended the University of Chicago from 2004 to 2006 and earned a Master's degree in Social Science. Later, in 2009, Kathryn returned to the University of Chicago to pursue the Integrated Marketing Program, completing it in 2010.
