Katie Crosby has a diverse work experience in the field of refugee and immigrant services. Katie started their career as a Program Teacher at AmeriCorps from August 2018 to May 2019. In 2021, they interned at RefugeeOne as a Refugee Case Management Intern from June to August, and then joined the International Rescue Committee as an Immigration Legal Services Intern from September to November. During the same year, they co-founded and co-directed Sanctuary Now!, a organization focused on refugee support. Currently, Katie is working at Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains, where they started in September 2022 as an Unaccompanied Refugee Minor (URM) Youth Specialist, and later became the URM Program Manager in March 2023.

Katie Crosby's education history begins with their completion of a Master of Science (MS) degree in Refugee & Forced Migration Studies at DePaul University from 2020 to 2022. Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts & Sciences degree in Real Estate & International Studies from the University of North Texas between 2016 and 2019.
