Leena Vuorinen

Leena Vuorinen GAICD currently serves as the Chair of Lutheran Services Australia and has been the General Manager of Ageing Well at Deaf Services since May 2015, where previous roles included Aged Care Manager. Leena held a Council Member position at Lutheran Services in Queensland from May 2011 to June 2021 and worked as a Project Officer at Blue Care for a short period in 2014. From November 2013 to October 2014, a role as Case Manager/Quality Officer was undertaken at the Australian Finnish Rest Home Association, and from October 2009 to November 2012, Leena worked as Special Project Manager and Project Officer for Diversicare. Academic experience includes a PhD student role at the University of Helsinki from 2003 to 2009 and as a Visiting PhD student at the University of Mälardalen from September 2005 to March 2008. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Social Sciences and a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of Helsinki, along with a Diploma of Management from TAFE NSW and credentials from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
