Karel Šmatlák

Karel Šmatlák has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Karel is currently working at LutherOne as the Commercial Director for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, a position they have held since August 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Sales Director at LutherOne since October 2019.

Before joining LutherOne, Šmatlák was a co-founder and co-owner of SHAPER s.r.o., a health company, from January 2014 onwards.

In 2013, Šmatlák had a brief period of unemployment between May and December. During this time, they also worked as a student at LAL Language Centres from January to April.

From 2012 to 2013, Šmatlák worked at ČSOB Leasing, where they held various positions including Team Director of Finance and Sales of used cars, Director of the Prague branch for cars, trucks, machinery, and technology, and Director of the Prague branch for personal and commercial vehicles. Karel also served as a Team Manager of used vehicles from 2007 to 2008.

Prior to ČSOB Leasing, Šmatlák worked at GE Money Auto from 1999 to 2007. At GE Money Auto, they held roles such as Regional Sales Manager, Regional Mortgage Manager, Regional Head of Retail Banking, and Regional Sales Manager.

Šmatlák began their career at Česká spořitelna in 1996 as an Officer in Private Banking. Karel had previous experience working at Sitos trading, s.r.o. in sales and Česká banka as the Leader of the Cashier Department. Karel started their professional journey at Komerční banka as an employee at the counter.

Karel Šmatlák completed their high school education at the High School of Economics from 1988 to 1992. Karel then went on to attend the University of West Bohemia, Faculty of Economics in Cheb, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics tertiary sector. Karel completed their undergraduate studies from 1994 to 1998.
