Joel Hnatow

Joel Hnatow is a seasoned software architect with over 20 years of experience in software development and leadership. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Software Architect at Lutron Electronics since August 2021, Joel guides architecture decisions for various front-end tools in web and desktop environments. As the owner and founder of Dual Boot Software, Joel offers software contracting and consulting services. Previous experience includes a role as Engineering Software Leader at Lutron Electronics from May 2002 to March 2014, where Joel led software projects and contributed to Internet of Things initiatives. Additionally, in 2014, Joel accomplished a personal goal by completing a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. Joel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Penn State University, earned in 2002.
