Alex Nguyen

Alex joined Lux based on a desire to take an active role in supporting emerging technology companies that push the boundaries of what is possible. At Lux, Alex helps lead the team’s efforts in capital formation, working with our limited partners as well as assisting our companies with forging new relationships with potential partners.

Previously, Alex worked at Mercury Capital (acquired by Investcorp) in New York, where he worked on advisory mandates for private equity and venture capital funds. Alex started his career in derivatives trading.

Alex earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Yale University, where he was awarded the DeForest Prize and Townsend Premiums, and was selected as Class Speaker during graduation ceremonies.

Alex is an Associate Resident of The Explorer’s Club in New York City, and also helps lead the New York chapter of the Emerging Venture Capitalists Association, a non-profit organization.
