Brandon works with companies in the areas of data & machine learning infrastructure, cryptonetworks, robotics and automation, and new compute architectures. He has led our investment in Anchorage, a custody solution for digital assets; Fiddler, which is making AI explainable; Oasis Labs, which is building a privacy-first cloud computing platform on blockchain; Chronosphere, a time series monitoring platform; Elektra Labs, a digital measures platform; Hugging Face, an open-source company democratizing natural language processing; Tecton, a platform making production machine learning accessible to every company; Benchling, a cloud-native R&D platform for life sciences; and Ahana, an ad hoc analytics company. Brandon has also helped lead our investments in Anduril, a next-generation defense company; and Applied Intuition, a simulation software company.
Prior to joining Lux, Brandon was on the investment team at Capricorn Investment Group in Palo Alto, California, where he focused on autonomy, mobility, semiconductors and energy. While there, he invested in Joby Aviation, an eVTOL company and Navitas, a power electronics silicon company.
Previously, Brandon worked for Texas Instruments in Sunnyvale, California, where he was a Field Applications Engineer that supported Tesla Motors. In that role he worked with Tesla on its autopilot designs, next generation infotainment, and the sensor system for the Model X falcon wing doors.
Brandon grew up in South Florida and earned a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Central Florida and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
