Laurence Pevsner is a seasoned communications strategist with a strong background in speechwriting and public policy. Currently serving as Partner in Research at Lux Capital, Laurence focuses on creating engaging media and experiences that explore the intersection of science, technology, and public policy. As a Moynihan Public Scholar at the Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership, Laurence has conducted research and events on public apologies and political speechwriting. Previous roles include Speechwriter for the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, overseeing the production of over 650 speeches, and Director at West Wing Writers. Laurence graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Law, Jurisprudence and Social Thought from Amherst College, where leadership roles included Editor-in-Chief of The Indicator and President of Amherst Democrats.
