Raphael Sulzer

Research Engineer at LuxCarta

Raphael Sulzer is currently a Research Engineer at LuxCarta and a Postdoctoral Researcher at Inria, focusing on geometry processing, computer vision, and deep learning. Prior experience includes serving as a PhD Researcher at the IGN - French Mapping Agency, where research also revolved around the same fields, and as a Lecturer at the Ecole nationale des Sciences géographiques, responsible for designing E-learning courses in photogrammetry and GIS. Raphael has experience as a GIS Developer at Geo-Col GIS and Collaborative Planning, developing custom GIS workflows and QGIS plugins, and worked as a Graduate Student Intern at Arup, contributing to a project on structural upgrading related to Groningen earthquakes. Educational qualifications include a PhD from Université Gustave Eiffel, a Master's Degree in Geomatics for the Built Environment from Delft University of Technology, and a Bachelor's Degree in Geodesy and Geoinformatics from the University of Stuttgart, alongside an Erasmus Exchange Semester.
