Chris Hollifield has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Chris started their career at the Taipei Representative Office in the UK, where they worked in PR and Press from September 2010 to July 2012. Chris then moved on to the Council of the European Union, where they handled internal communications from September 2012 to January 2013.
Following that, Chris joined the UK Commission for Employment & Skills, focusing on internal and external communications from June 2013 to February 2014. Chris then transitioned to Clearstream, a financial services company, where they held multiple roles. Initially, they worked in Communications and Marketing from July 2014 to January 2017. Chris'sresponsibilities included managing customer questionnaires, developing tools and databases, and marketing strategic initiatives.
Chris then moved on to Cross-Market Strategy at Clearstream from January 2017 to September 2018. In this role, they conducted strategic analysis, developed business strategies, and worked on cross-divisional activities within the Deutsche Börse Group.
Chris'smost recent position is at Luxembourg for Finance, where they have held various roles since October 2018. Chris started as Fintech and Business Development until July 2020, then became the Head of China Desk from July 2020 to March 2021. Currently, Chris serves as the Head of Business Development, leading the team in supporting fintech and financial companies in cross-border activities and advising on the development of Luxembourg's financial ecosystem.
Chris Hollifield attended the University of Cambridge from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors (MA Hons) in Oriental Studies, specializing in Chinese. Following their undergraduate studies, they attended the National Taiwan Normal University from 2009 to 2010, focusing on Chinese Language and Literature.
In addition to their educational background, Chris Hollifield also obtained a Securities Operations Foundation Course (SOFC) certification from the ICMA Centre in September 2015.
