Richard van de Vrie

Richard van de Vrie has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Richard is the Founder and CEO of Luxexcel, a company that specializes in 3D printing lenses. Richard also served as the Supervisory Director of Luxexcel from 2014 to 2022. Prior to Luxexcel, Richard held various roles in the lighting industry, including VP Corporate Marketing at Lighting Science Group Corporation and Chief Executive Officer of Lighting Partner B.V. and Eyeleds International. Richard also worked as the General Manager at Sylvania Lighting International. Richard has expertise in LED lighting and horticulture lighting, as seen through their roles as Co-owner at LuxImprove and Co-Owner of Ledgnd Horticulture Lighting. Before entering the lighting industry, they gained experience in sales at Bayer Nederland BV and management in customer service at Vrieland BV.

Richard van de Vrie attended Christelijk Lyceum from 1979 to 1985 for their secondary education. Richard then enrolled at HZ University of Applied Sciences from 1986 to 1987, though the field of study is unspecified. Following this, from 1988 to 1990, they pursued their education at HEAO Breda International Marketing, specializing in International Marketing.
