Doug Palmieri

Doug Palmieri has extensive experience in education and administration, currently serving as the Special Assistant to the President at Luzerne County Community College since July 2024. Previously, Doug worked for Luzerne Intermediate Unit 18 as the Director of Human Resources and Supervisor of Administrative and Student Services from August 2021 to August 2024. Prior experience includes roles such as Supervisor of Special Education K-6, Assistant Principal, and Cyber Academy Coordinator at Pleasant Valley School District from September 2006 to June 2020, where responsibilities included establishing a Cyber Academy and community initiatives, as well as teaching Geography and Special Education. Doug began the career as a Therapeutic Staff Support at Children's Service Center and holds a Master's Degree in Special Education from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from King's College.
