Cecilia Benitez

Cecilia Benitez is a seasoned professional in the venture capital and tech sectors, currently serving as a VC Scout at LvlUp Ventures and a member of the SXSW Pitch Advisory Board. With experience as a podcast host and producer for the Chicago Techies Podcast, Cecilia highlights local tech stories to create a sense of community. As a board member of Youth Outlook, Cecilia supports programs for LGBTQ+ youth, while also partnering with Ganas Ventures to invest in Web 2 and Web 3 startups. Previous roles include Director of Startup Programs at 1871 and Senior Program Manager at Latinas in Tech, focusing on empowering underrepresented groups in technology. Educationally, Cecilia holds a degree in World Language & Cultures, specializing in Spanish and Hispanic Studies from Northern Illinois University.
