Tahir Bilal is currently serving as a Regional Advisor at the U.S. Department of Justice's Criminal Division since October 2023, in addition to holding the position of Program Manager at Lawyers Without Borders since April 2021 and Project Management Advisor at PAE since August 2020, focusing on DOJ/OPDAT Programs. Prior experience includes working as an Operational Specialist at SAIC, supporting DOJ's ICITAP/OPDAT activities across multiple countries, and as a Program Manager/Legal Advisor for the Department of Justice at the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan from September 2009 to October 2016. With over 20 years of experience in the field of Pakistani Criminal Law, Tahir Bilal also served as Deputy Superintendent within the Police Service of Pakistan from December 1997 to August 2009. Educational credentials encompass multiple advanced degrees in Law, Gender and Women Studies, and Social Sciences from institutions including the University of the West of England, the University of the Punjab, Karachi University, Allama Iqbal Open University, and Forman Christian College.
