Cullen Chandler is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in history education and administration at Lycoming College since August 2003. Currently serving as the Frank and Helen Lowry Professor, Professor of History, and Director of the Lycoming Scholars Program, Cullen focuses on enhancing the educational experience for high-achieving students through innovative seminars. Cullen teaches a diverse range of courses in Western Civilization, Medieval Europe, and the Carolingian world, while also holding significant roles such as Chair of the Department of History and the General Committee on Academic Affairs, Vice Chair of the Faculty, and Secretary of the Faculty. Prior academic experience includes the Donald Bullough Fellowship at the University of St Andrews and teaching positions at Purdue University and Collin County Community College. Cullen holds a PhD in Medieval History from Purdue University, alongside an MA from Fordham University and a BA from Austin College.
