Alex Tomberg has worked in various roles since 2011. Alex began their career as a Researcher, Instructor, and Teaching Assistant at The University of British Columbia, where they were also Head TA of the Math Learning Centre. In 2013, they were Website and Database Manager for the 2014 PIMS Probability Summer School. In 2015, they became a Fellow at Insight Data Science, where they created a web app for finding potential caveats of otherwise great Amazon products. Alex also joined Lydia.ai as Chief Technology Officer, where they lead and manages the Development Group.
Alex Tomberg's education history includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics from The University of British Columbia (UBC) between 2011 and 2015, a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mathematics from McGill between 2010 and 2011, a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Joint Honours in Mathematics and Computer Science from McGill University between 2007 and 2010, a D.E.C. in Pure and Applied Sciences from Marianopolis College between 2005 and 2007, and attendance at College de Montreal.
