David Shook

David Shook currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Lyell Immunopharma and as a Clinical Instructor at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals, where comprehensive medical care for pediatric hematopoietic cell transplant and cellular therapy is overseen. Previously, David held the position of Chief Medical Officer and Head of R&D at Nkarta, Inc., leading clinical development in oncology and autoimmune indications. David's extensive experience at AdventHealth includes key leadership roles where the Pediatric Cellular Therapy program was developed and accredited. Additionally, as an Assistant Member at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, David pioneered innovative cell therapy trials and mentored fellows in the field. Academic qualifications include an M.D. from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University, complemented by board certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
