Forrest Nussdorfer

Research Associate at Lyell Immunopharma

Forrest Nussdorfer's work experience begins in 2010, where they worked as a Summer Intern at Proyect Amigo. In 2011, they interned at Water Missions International. From 2012 to 2014, Forrest was a Research Assistant in the Komaromy Lab at Michigan State University, where they conducted gene sequencing studies and presented research posters. They then worked as an Environmental Educator at Woldumar Nature Center from 2008 to 2011, planning and leading outdoor programs for youth. At the University of Washington in 2015, Forrest served as a Biochemistry TA. Following this, they joined Bloodworks Northwest and held multiple roles, including Research Technician II, Graduate Student Researcher, and Technology Transfer Liaison. In these positions, they studied the effects of plasma lipoproteins on thrombus formation, redesigned a microfluidic device, and served as a liaison for technology transfer. Currently, Forrest is a Research Associate at Lyell Immunopharma, specializing in flow cytometry assay development and analytics for cell therapy products. They have gained proficiency in using various flow cytometers and have implemented improvements to enhance assay precision and reproducibility.

Forrest Nussdorfer has a diverse education history. Forrest obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Pathology/Experimental Pathology from the University of Washington, where they studied from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Human Physiology at Michigan State University, where they attended from 2011 to 2013. In addition, Forrest Nussdorfer holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Social Science Teacher Education from Michigan State University, earned from 2006 to 2010.

Forrest has also obtained several certifications, including the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Forrest Nussdorfer earned this certification in November 2020.
