Janani Sundarrajan

Janani Sundarrajan is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and management. At Lyft, from May 2016 to December 2021, Janani served as Senior Engineering Manager, overseeing the Foundations platform organization and addressing complex marketplace balance issues, while managing a diverse team of 60 professionals across five teams. Previous roles at Lyft included Engineering Manager and Senior Software Engineer, focusing on communications infrastructure. Janani's background also includes positions at Microsoft as a Senior Software Development Engineer and at Forte Research Systems, Inc. as a Software Engineer. Janani began a career at United Online Software Development in India as a Senior Software Engineer after completing a Bachelor of Engineering degree at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Master’s in Computer Science from North Carolina State University.
