Matthew Webber is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in product security and software engineering. Currently serving as the Head of Product Security at Lyft since June 2016, Matthew oversees the security of Lyft's production infrastructure, which supports $4B in annual revenue and manages trillions of events across numerous microservices. Matthew's leadership includes a successful GDPR/CCPA compliance initiative and the establishment of Lyft's Data Privacy team. Previously, Matthew held prominent roles at Twitter, SquidMixer, Facebook, Google, Amazon.com, and other organizations, contributing to significant projects such as critical-path services at Twitter and the development of groundbreaking tools at Amazon. Matthew holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science and Mathematics and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
