Oscar Borrego

Oscar Borrego is a seasoned software engineer specializing in machine learning with extensive experience in developing predictive models and innovative algorithms across various industries. Currently serving as a Sr. Software Engineer in Machine Learning at Lyft, Oscar designs and maintains models for routing accuracy and ETA, as well as operates continuous online retrainable ML models for real-time supply and demand forecasting. Previously, Oscar contributed to Oral Diagnostics research projects at Align Technology and developed a Probabilistic Linkage Framework at biospatial, Inc. for medical record association under confidentiality regulations. With a strong background in backend engineering and data processing from roles at ndustrial and Sensus, Oscar holds a Master's degree in Mathematics focused on Optimization and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Havana.
