Dr Jack Parkin

Dr Jack Parkin has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Dr Jack is currently working at Lygon as the Head of Product since May 2021. Prior to that, they were the Product Strategy Lead at Lygon from November 2020 to May 2021. Dr Jack also worked as a Digital Economist at Western Sydney University starting in January 2019. From December 2019 to November 2020, they served as a Project Manager at Glencore. Dr Parkin has also worked as an Author at Oxford University Press from November 2018 to September 2020. Dr Jack has experience as a Director and Blockchain Consultant at Eskin Taylor from May 2018 to October 2019. Before that, they worked as a Digital Marketing Lead at Bitwage, Inc. from June 2015 to May 2016 and as a Copywriter at Skuchain from April 2015 to June 2015. Earlier in their career, they held roles such as Human Resources Coordinator at Sanctuary Group from September 2013 to February 2014, Marketing Executive at Zefyr Group from September 2012 to August 2013, Researcher at University of Exeter from June 2011 to September 2012, and Module Coordinator and Assistant Lecturer at University of Exeter from September 2011 to July 2012.

Dr Jack Parkin completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Geography from the University of Exeter, which they earned between 2008 and 2011. Dr Jack then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Sustainable Development from the same university, completing it between 2011 and 2012. In 2014, they enrolled at Western Sydney University, where they spent four years studying towards a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Digital Economics, specializing in Cryptoassets and Blockchain Technology. Additionally, in 2015, Dr Parkin attended Blockchain University to gain further expertise in Blockchain Technology.
