Daniel Almirall has a diverse and extensive work experience in the business development and marketing field. Daniel is currently employed as the Director of Business Development at Lygos. Prior to this, they worked at ExxonMobil in various roles, including Americas New Market Development Manager, Global Strategic Marketing Lead, North America Market Development Manager, Commercial Innovation Venture Lead, and Special Assignment in Sustainability Strategy. Daniel was also the Founder and Owner of Textile Solutions and served as an Entrepreneur Fellow at Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network. Daniel gained experience as a Global Marketing MBA Intern at ExxonMobil and worked as Technical Sales and Marketing at Stein Fibers. Additionally, they worked as a Polymer Engineering Visiting Faculty Researcher at Deakin University. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive business growth.

Daniel Almirall completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Engineering, with a focus on Product Design, at North Carolina State University in 2009. Daniel then pursued a Master of Engineering degree at the same institution from 2009 to 2014. Afterwards, Daniel attended the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School from 2014 to 2016 and obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a specialization in General Management. In 2016, they also briefly attended the Sasin School of Management, where they completed another Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in General Management.
