Pol Le Roux

Pol Le Roux is Vice President Downstream at Lynas Rare Earths, responsible for Lynas’ advanced manufacturing plant in Kuantan, Malaysia, and all Sales and Marketing activities as well as business development projects outside of Australia including the proposed Heavy Rare Earths separation plant.

He also leads sustainability initiatives such as Life Cycle Analysis and mine to magnet traceability, and new product development to meet customer needs. Pol’s deep expertise and understanding of the Rare Earths market, technical requirements and applications is highly valued by customers

Pol joined Lynas in October 2010 and has played an important role in the company’s journey from start up to profitable business, delivering both sales growth and long-term value to the company.

His previous experience includes 26 years with French chemicals company Rhodia/Rhone-Poulenc (now part of Solvay) where he held a range of roles, most recently leading Rhodia’s vanillan division as Diphenol Activity Director. During this period, Pol gained valuable exposure to a range of industries, including automotive, plastics, chemicals and electronics, and was based in international markets including China, Mexico, Korea and France.
