Brian Bloomfield

Brian Bloomfield, Ph.D. serves as the Head of School at Lyndon Institute since July 2022. Previously, Brian held leadership positions at Dexter Southfield School as Head of Upper School from July 2018 to June 2022, and at The Academy at Charlemont as Head of School from July 2014 to June 2018. Additionally, Brian was the Head of School at Nova Classical Academy, overseeing its K-12 programs and serving as both Chief Academic and Financial Officer, and also acted as Principal and Academic Dean during tenure there. Brian began a career in education as an English teacher at Charles E Smith Jewish Day School from August 2002 to June 2008. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Maryland, an MA in English Literature from the same institution, and a BA in English Literature from Oberlin College.
