Dohun Kim has a range of work experience in the engineering field. Dohun started their career as a Research Assistant at Boston University, where they conducted research on yellow dust trends in eastern Asia and wrote a research paper on future courses of action. Dohun then worked as a Laboratory Research Assistant at the International Vaccine Institute, conducting molecular biological laboratory techniques and collaborating on HPV and JEV projects.

At Lynk, Dohun worked as an Engineering Intern and later as an Aerospace Engineer, where they designed, built, and tested a water resistojet thermal electric thruster and assembled CubeSats for NASA's Artemis 1 mission. Dohun also worked on improving heat transfer efficiency and simulating test setups.

Dohun also has experience at the Space Systems Design Studio, where they were a Cislunar Explorers team member. In this role, they soldered wires to electrodes and epoxyed gaps to inhibit electrical corrosion, enhanced antenna performance through fabrication, and innovated efficient electrolyzer designs.

Dohun was also a Teaching Assistant at Cornell University College of Engineering, facilitating discussion sections, holding office hours, and collaborating with other consultants to enhance students' MATLAB learning experience.

Additionally, Dohun was a Hull Subteam Member at CU Solar Boat, where they streamlined hull design, created truss designs, and constructed the hull using Duratec and high-density foam molds.

Throughout their work experience, Dohun has demonstrated skills in research, laboratory techniques, design, testing, simulation, and collaboration.

Dohun Kim attended Cornell University from 2019 to 2022 and pursued a degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
