Tony DeTora

Tony DeTora has a diverse and extensive work experience primarily in the field of space policy. Tony is currently the VP of Government Affairs at Lynk (formerly Ubiquitilink Inc.) since July 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Professional Staff at the Committee on Science and Technology, U.S. House of Representatives from July 2018 to January 2019.

DeTora has a long history of working in the U.S. House of Representatives. Tony served as a Senior Policy Advisor from January 2013 to July 2018, where they were responsible for providing subject matter expertise on space policy and advising the Former Chairman of the House Space Subcommittee on various areas including Science, Space, Technology, Aviation, Intellectual Property, Appropriations, and Armed Services. Tony also worked as a Legislative Assistant from March 2009 to January 2013, where they managed a broad portfolio of Science and Technology legislative issues with a focus on Space, Energy, and Environmental issues.

Before their role in the U.S. House of Representatives, DeTora worked as an Associate at PoliSpace from June 2008 to March 2009 and as a Finance Director at Commonwealth Consultants from June 2006 to April 2008.

Tony'searlier career includes working as a Policy Analyst at PoliSpace from June 2002 to June 2006 and as a Vice President at ProSpace America from August 2000 to August 2005.

DeTora also briefly held the role of Executive Director at Space Frontier Foundation, where they managed the daily activities of the Foundation, served as a spokesperson for promoting new approaches to national space efforts, and delivered speeches and presentations on commercial space activities and legislation.

Tony DeTora completed their BA in Performing Arts at Alfred University from 1986 to 1990. Tony then pursued their BS in Aerospace Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 1996 to 1999. Later, from 1999 to 2001, they obtained their MBA in Aviation Management from the same institution.
