Emily Deardorff

Emily Deardorff is a Water Resources Data Scientist at Lynker, contributing to the NOAA Office of Water Prediction by developing a nationwide Flood Inundation Model. Previous experience includes coordinating a NOAA-NWC Summer Institute for graduate students, conducting research on bacterial pollution detection at San Diego State University, and working as a research fellow focused on machine learning for streamflow prediction. Emily's background also encompasses internships at NASA Ames Research Center, where projects included noise prediction modeling and coral reef conservation efforts. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Watershed Science from San Diego State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Western Washington University.
