Graeme Aggett

Graeme Aggett has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Starting in 1980, they served as a Section Commander in the Royal Marines, undertaking various roles such as Falklands War, Mediterranean Ops, and Arctic Warfare Training. In 1994, Graeme worked as a Research Director at Victoria University of Wellington. From 2000 to 2005, they directed the Center for Spatial Information at Central Washington University, conducting applied research studies and obtaining significant funding. Graeme then joined RTI International as a Group Leader from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they worked at WSP (formerly Amec Foster Wheeler) as the Global Water Practice Lead until 2014. Currently, Graeme serves as the Principal and Chief Scientist of Lynker Technologies, where they lead Lynker Intel and is involved in various projects related to climate risk assessment, hydrologic analysis, water resources forecasting, and natural resource management models.

Graeme Aggett's education history includes a range of degrees and fields of study. From 1998 to 2003, they pursued a PhD at the University of Southern California, specializing in Fluvial and Coastal Geomorphology, Hydrology and Hydraulics, Sediment Transport, and Geospatial Science. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Water Resources Engineering from The University of Auckland, between 1993 and 1995. Graeme'searlier education at The University of Auckland also includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a separate Master of Science (MSc) degree, acquired from 1989 to 1994, with a focus on Hydrology, Geomorphology, Environmental Science and Engineering, and Geospatial Science. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from The University of Auckland between 1990 and 1993, specialized in Hydrology and Geomorphology.
