Iliana Genkova

Iliana Genkova currently serves as Co-Chair of the International Winds Working Group at The Coordination Group for Meteorological Satellites since May 2023 and holds the position of Physical Scientist III at Lynker since September 2022, where responsibilities include managing Observational Data Processing for NOAA NCEP’s weather forecasting and climate models. Prior roles include Research Scientist at I. M. Systems Group Inc., where Iliana managed satellite winds integration in NOAA NCEP's forecast models, and significant research positions at the University of Melbourne and ECMWF, focusing on atmospheric data assimilation and CO2 modeling. An experienced project manager, Iliana founded Career Ready in the Netherlands and has contributed to various research initiatives across multiple organizations, including the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, with a strong academic foundation comprising a PhD in Environmental Sciences and an MSc in Electronics from Bulgarian institutions.
