Dusti Houk

Dusti Houk serves as the Assistant Principal at Lyon County School District since August 2022, following a 23-year tenure as a teacher within the same district, primarily focusing on STEM and Computer Science for middle school students. Additional responsibilities include serving as the athletic director, webmaster, and site technology coordinator. Prior experience includes teaching 6th to 8th grade science and reading at Schurz Elementary School in Mineral County School District for one year and a brief stint at the Nevada State Legislature. Earlier in the career, Dusti Houk worked as a coach supervising court-ordered youth at Rite of Passage. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a Master's in Instructional Technology from Grand Canyon University. Additionally, Dusti Houk holds a Teacher Certification from Sierra Nevada College and a Bachelor's in Justice Administration from Hawaii Pacific University.
