Rebekah Lacey McKinley

Foreign Language Department Head at LYON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT

Rebekah Lacey McKinley has a diverse work experience. Rebekah is currently working as the Foreign Language Department Head at Lyon County School District and as a Spanish Teacher at Oaks Christian School, both since 2018. Rebekah has also worked as a Freelance Translator/Interpreter since 2005, taking on independent translation projects for business and publishers. Additionally, they have experience as the Western Area 4-H Camp Director at the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension from 2004 to 2021 and as a Community Vitality Extension Agent at K-State Research & Extension from 2015 to 2017. Rebekah has also held the role of Foreign Language Department Head at Holly School district RE-3 from 2013 to 2015 and at McClave School District RE-1 from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they worked as the 21st Century Community Learning Center Site Coordinator at the Washoe County School District from 2005 to 2011.

Rebekah Lacey McKinley pursued their higher education at Sierra Nevada College, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Primary and Secondary Education from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they attended the University of Nevada, Reno, where they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Language and Literature from 2000 to 2004. Furthermore, during their time at the University of Nevada, Reno, they also obtained another Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from 2000 to 2004.
