Marty Lyon is an accomplished landscape architect with extensive experience in the field, including a current position as Partner Emeritus at Lyon Landscape Architects since January 2013, emphasizing the importance of relationships with clients and communities. Prior to this, Marty owned and operated a successful firm, Marty A. Lyon, Landscape Architect, from June 2001 to December 2012, delivering award-winning designs across the Northwest. Marty’s career in landscape architecture began in January 1980 with the establishment of Marty A. Lyon, Landscape Architects, P.S., which Marty led for two decades in Tacoma, Washington. Marty holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from Washington State University, where studies were completed from 1969 to 1974.

Lyon Landscape Architects (LLA) is a Landscape Architecture firm serving the the Greater Puget Sound and Pacific Northwest. Lyon Landscape Architects' professional experience encompasses a broad range of projects, from master planning to site-specific landscape design for public, institutional and private clients. Their extensive body of work encompasses projects throughout the United States, as well as in Asia. LLA's experience includes community and regional parks, recreation and athletic facilities, schools and higher education campuses, community master planning and private gardens. LLA's services include the full spectrum of design documentation, from site analysis and master planning, to construction documentation and construction administration. We will provide leadership at community meetings and participate in volunteer work parties. Additionally, Lyon Landscape Architects has experience in water feature design, sculptural work, custom bike racks and graphic design.
