Billy Nelson

Billy Nelson is an experienced engineer with a strong background in process and production engineering. Currently serving as a PO/TBA Process & Production Engineer at LyondellBasell since March 2020, Billy previously worked at Ascend Performance Materials for 14 years, where responsibilities included developing process engineering solutions and managing a team of thirteen engineers on safety assessments and process improvement projects. Prior experience at Celanese spanned nearly seven years, including positions as a Six Sigma Black Belt, where significant process improvements resulted in annual savings of approximately $1 million, and as a Production Engineer focused on ibuprofen unit support. Billy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
