Macon McLean

Macon McLean has extensive work experience in the field of data science. They started their career in 2011 as a Group/Individual Tutor at Brown University and worked in that role until 2014.

In 2015, they worked as an Achievement Center Tutor at Christ Church Episcopal School for a few months.

They then interned as a Data Science Intern at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in 2016.

In 2017, they joined NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a Data Scientist for a few months before transitioning to Opex Analytics, where they worked as a Data Scientist until 2019. At Opex Analytics, they later took on the role of Senior Data Scientist from July 2019 to October 2019.

In 2019, they moved to LLamasoft, Inc. as a Senior Data Scientist. The company was later acquired by Coupa Software in November 2020, and Macon continued their work there until November 2020. At Coupa Software, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist in the Applied Research department and also contributed to the AI Center of Excellence.

Currently, Macon McLean works as a Senior Data Scientist at Lyric, starting in September 2022.

Macon McLean completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at Brown University from 2010 to 2014. Their area of study included Mathematics-Economics, Physics, and Philosophy. Subsequently, Macon pursued further education at Northwestern University from 2015 to 2016, earning a Master of Science degree in Analytics.
