Sam Veu

Creative and Cultural Ambassador at Lyrical Opposition

Samuelu Veu, is a Nor-Cal native, born & raised in the Bay Area with roots coming out all the way from the South Pacific island of Samoa. Although he is far from his homeland of Samoa, he keeps the values of it close, which are; God, Family, Respect, Discipline, and Love.

S.V. is no stranger at all to the violence, drug use, distribution, alcoholism, and neglect that continue to take its toll on the neighborhoods around him and all around this country. Countless times he has seen his peers fall victim to these carnal lifestyles that hold nothing in store for them. This is what drives and motivates him.

Ever since he gave his life to serving the King of kings, he sought out every way possible to spread the love of Christ that was given to him. Therefore, through Lyrical Opposition, he is able to do that in the realm of Hip-Hop, Spoken Word, Guest Speaking, and more.

From facilitating college workshops, to hosting concerts, and to also rocking solo opening acts– S.V. has had his hand in more than a few things that range from being behind the scenes or on the frontline for 8 years strong and running. From coordinating benefit concerts/events like Rock the School Bells, Pacific-Islands-Together Festival, & Island Reggae Festival respectfully to opening up shows for the likes of John Givez, BAMBU, Ise Lyfe, Social Club, Big-Body Cisco and many more.

Nicknamed “Fresh Coast” from his L.O. peers; for his West Coast sound, style, and delivery. He is always looking to spread nothing but substance and his own testimony to where the authenticity of it all comes thick through street melodies and gritty emotion. Not traditional, but all original, S.V. simply seeks to shed light in any and every way possible.
