Nicole Robinson

Co-founder + Chief Executive Officer at LYRO Robotics

Nicole Robinson is a Co-Founder and CEO of LYRO Robotics since 2019. In 2020, they became a Chief Investigator and Program Leader in Human Interaction at QUT Centre for Robotics, and an Honorary Adjunct Lecturer at the Centre for Robotics. Nicole was also a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Australian Centre for Robotic Vision, and a Chief Investigator on a $7.2 million Australian Research Council's (ARC) Industrial Transformation Training Centre with 15+ industry partners. In 2016, they were a Cognition Institute at the University of Plymouth. In 2010, they were a Sessional Academic and Guest Lecturer, Doctoral Student, and Research Assistant at QUT (Queensland University of Technology). In 2022, they became an Advisor to the National Artificial Intelligence Centre (NAIC) hosted by CSIRO, and an Advisor to the Monash Robogals group.

Nicole Robinson obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Human-Robot Interaction from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) between 2015 and 2018. In 2018, they also became a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
