Luiz Acauan

Luiz Acauan is a Senior Carbon Materials Scientist at Lyten since May 2024, bringing extensive expertise from a previous role as a Research Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from September 2015 to May 2024. At MIT, Luiz led a multi-disciplinary project focused on energy-storing multifunctional composites and advanced the technology of carbon nanotube-based sensors for Analog Devices. Additionally, Luiz has contributed to the development of polymer and ceramic nanocomposites and conducted investigations into complex nanomaterials. A background in academia includes a Visiting Scientist position at the University of Queensland and internships at the University of Texas and CEA, with foundational education comprising a Ph.D. in Materials Science and degrees in Nanotechnology and Materials Engineering from prominent institutions.
